The Story of the Sisters & Alight
Once Upon A Time, in a land Far Far Away, in a Rainbow Castle made of Crystals in the Sky, there lived a Butterfly Fairy known as, The Enchantress.
The Enchantress lived with her Sister Athena and a Family Of enchanted animals and Elves in the beautiful Rainbow Palace.
Together the sisters, along with their Mischief of enchanted Mice and Kind Elves, wove Magical fabrics and clothing to help spread cheer and Goodwill to all who touched them.
They used only the finest Fibres, found in the furthest corners of the world. Unicorn Manes and Tails, Troll Hair, Dragons scales ground with sparkles and even the occasional felted fur from a Pegasus. Together, the magical Team helped the The Enchantress run the castle and keep the spirit of Magic and Whimsy alive in the Kingdom below.
The beautiful Castle in the Sky shined so brightly from the strength of the love and compassion inside its walls, that the people in the world below, could see its glow from their land. The people of the world, called this magical, Glowing Castle in the Sky, “Alight.”
And so, it began. A magical Journey of Light and Love. Won’t you join us?
The Enchantress set off on a Journey to visit her sister. She traveled through the mystical forest and over the glistening stream to where her sister lived. Deep in a castle shadowed by trees, she spotted her sister’s glowing pink home. As she approached the castle, out emerged the Steampunk Princess draped head to toe, in unicorn manes and sparkling dragon-scales. The Pinks, Purples, Black and rainbows of fabric danced in the sunlight and the Enchantress couldn’t help but smile at the sight of her radiant sister.
As much as the sisters had enjoyed their Journey, they were longing to be home and rest in their own beds for the night. As they rounded the last turn on their way home, a shimmer in the dark caught Athena’s eye. She paused just long enough, to stop The Enchantress abruptly as she bumped into her. ”What are you stopping for?!” Demanded the weary sister. “Look, over there! “ Whispered Athena excitedly. As The Enchantress turned to follow her sisters gaze, her eyes widened in amazement at the beautiful sight ahead of her. The moon shone upon it just perfectly....
Presenting, “Moonlit Pandora.”
Mrs. Badger was a well liked and friendly local figure in the community. She had a little boy Badger of her own and he and his friends were always happy to follow her around the neighborhood and explore.
Mrs. Badger was often spotted carrying her fancy yarns around as she delivered them from one happy friend or another in the land of Narnia.
Today she was making a very special trip far from Cair Paravel to deliver an important package to her friend The Enchantress, high up in the sky at the Castle of Alight.
Mrs. Badger has been looking forward to dropping off her special package. Inside was something which sparkled as though the moon was reflecting the sun’s light off of it. She could barely contain her excitement as she arrived at the gates to Alight.
As she aproached the door to knock, Athena was already there and waiting and swung open the door before she had the chance to raise her paw. The Enchantress was close behind her.
“Good day Mrs. Badger!” The two said almost In unison. “Have you brought our precious Star Trails with which to weave our new fabric?!”
“I have indeed!” Replied Mrs. Badger. And as she opened her basket and the sisters got their first glimpse of their new magical fibre, they knew that it was everything that they had been hoping for and more!

The Journey of A Collaboration.
The Enchantress and Athena were finally on their way home. They had just completed a very exciting trip to visit Never Never land, which had concluded with quite the unexpected detour to the land of Oz, or as the people who lived there referred to it, Aus.
The Enchantress had another stop to make now, as they were a bit behind schedule. There would be no time to go home and rest until this visit was done.
So, as Athena headed back to Alight, the Rainbow Castle in the Clouds. The Enchantress set off to go visit her dear friend Kalleigh, in a very different world altogether.
Kalleigh was a mermaid with beautiful glistening scales that shown so bright in the sunshine above the water, you may think that they were made of Rainbow Gold.
As The Enchantress landed her Pegasus near the Water’s edge, and sat down to wait for her friend, a sudden splash from the depths of the water nearby frightened her nearly out of her own shoes and sent her Pegasus galloping away!
Upset about her spooked steed, but curious to see what had created such a splash, The Enchantress crept closer to the sand.
As she gazed over the edge of the bank, she spotted it. A creature like nothing she had seen before. In all regards it looked like a normal seahorse with beautiful striking coloring on its belly, but with one VERY distinct difference. This seahorse had large, beautiful butterfly type wings.
The Enchantress was so enamored with the beautiful creature in front of her, that she almost didn’t hear Kalleigh as she approached.
“Oh, hello Dear friend! I see that you have met my friend and gift for you. Lady Enchantress, meet, Romeo, he has been one of my companions here below the water and now, with the magical wings he has been gifted, he is ready to accompany you back to the Castle in the Sky!
“But first,” continued Kalleigh, “we have quite the task ahead of us! This magic fabric which we are to create, will take every ounce of our concentration. Both born of Land and of Sea, it will be! Are you ready to begin work on this glorious rainbow?!”
“I am ready and just can’t wait to begin!” replied The Enchantress.
And so, they began.
The Enchanted Chimes
It was another beautiful, Sunny Day at The Rainbow Castle in The Sky. The sun was shining, the wind was blowing and from all around the garden beds, birds could be heard singing away. All was right in the world in the sky.
The wise Raven sat perched atop her favorite spot, located high up on the front side of the castle. From where she sat, she could see everything across the entire land that the sisters and their collective magical family called home.
As the Raven dozed happily in the sun, soothed by the songs all around her, she started to name them to herself in her head.
There was the blue bird and his sweet jingle, the Robin’s song like call, the screech of the hawk and the coo of the dove. But suddenly she stirred a bit. Mixed in with all of the beautiful song bird calls, was another sound that did not sound like any bird that she had heard before. In fact, she wasn’t sure that it was a bird at all.
The Raven opened her eyes and began to look around. Trying to pinpoint where the mysterious sound was coming from. It was a jingle of sorts, but had an almost bell like tone.
She hopped down from her perch and flew down to land in the fruit trees below. Suddenly she saw it! Why the sound was coming from a sweet little butterfly fairy who was holding something in her hand. Curious, the Raven flew down to the Fairy to see what it was that she had.
“Excuse me little fairy,” said The Raven. What is that, which you hold in your hands?
The little fairy looked up at The Raven with her big blue eyes and said in her tiny little voice, “Why Hello Wise Raven, this which I hold in my hands, is an Enchanted Chime. You see these precious treasures that I have hanging from it? Well, these are my good luck charms. Each time I jingle the chimes here, a Wish is granted for a young child somewhere in the Kingdom. These Chimes hold the keys to Hope and Dreams for so many Children. They are very special indeed. Would you like some chimes of your own Dear Raven? The burden is a large one, but the reward, so much larger.”
“Why yes,” said the Raven to the little Fairy. “I would be absolutely honored to help hold the charms and make wishes and dreams come true!”
Back at home, at The Castle Alight, The Enforcer was out doing his nightly rounds before turning in for the night. The Pegasus were quiet in their stalls, the mice were tucking in their little ones before bed and the trolls were already in their bedclothes, knitting by the fire and reading.
As he strolled the grounds, The Enforcer’s gaze was drawn toward a glow on the East side of the garden. He paused long enough to realize that it wasn’t something he was used to seeing. Curious to inspect more closely, he turned and started heading in the direction of the colorful glow.
As he approached the garden on the east side of the castle he realized that mixed in through the fertile soil, were gems. These gems were not just any gems, but it appeared that they were glistening in the moonlight in a most unusual way.
The Enforcer knew right away, that his sweet Athena would just adore these gems. She always knew how to create the most magical things, often seemingly, from very ordinary objects! Just imagine the beauty that she could create with such beautiful stones!
He carefully gathered some of the precious stones from the garden and exited the area, through the East gate and back into the castle. He would set them aside for his bride. Upon her return from her trip with her sister, he just knew that she would be so thrilled to see them!
💙🌈 Through The Clouds 💙🌈
Summer was a busy time at the Rainbow Castle in The Sky. The children were out of school and just marveling at all of their new discoveries in the gardens and woods of the village during the day. In the afternoons and sometimes late into the evening hours, they sat listening to stories and songs by the fireside. Heading off to bed with their minds bursting full of new and wonderful stories that they just couldn’t wait to dream about as they slept at night.
One quiet afternoon, the children were sitting by the tranquil silver pond, listening to stories about geese who laid golden eggs and mice who only danced by moonlight. The Narrator was beginning to tell the children a story about a lovely group of Fairy Friends, who were the ultimate Guardians of Hearts and Loyalty, when suddenly a loud, “WHOOSH,” broke the calm at the waters edge.
Immediately, all of the children and The Narrator jerked their heads around to see what had created such a sound!
Through the clouds, over the Rainbow Castle, and streaking across the Blue Sky, heading straight for them, were a group of four beautiful Fairies! Each sat atop a Pegasus whose shiny coats were various shades of blue; from royal, to aqua, even navy and every shade in between. Each Pegasus had a long, flowing mane of silver and white that glittered in the sun like diamonds.
The ladies and their steeds came to a stop at the edge of the pond. The thirsty equines lowered their heads and began to drink the cool, clean water almost immediately. The children stared in awe at the magnificent animals towering over them.
The Narrator was the first to speak. “Well hello Royal Lady Knights, I was just starting to tell the Children a story about one of the adventures we had together! To what, do we owe the honor of this visit?”
“Good Day Dear Narrator!” Said the Fairy mounted on the nearest Pegasus, whose bridle bore a tag engraved with the letters “AM.” “It was such a glorious day for a ride , we just started out flying and then suddenly here we were!” She said with a bit of a shrug and a laugh.
“Well then!” Said The Narrator with a grin. “Join us for story time won’t you?” “That sounds delightful,” said the second fairy in the row, whose Pegasus could be identified by the letters, “HI.” “Don’t mind if we do,” said the third, who was mounted on, “KC.” “That sounds like a fine idea indeed,” said the fourth Fairy in the stunning lineup, whose lovely mount wore a tag engraved, “EP.”.
The Ladies dismounted their Pegasus’ who had finally satisfied their thirst. Then the group, Pegasus’ included, settled down next to the pond to enjoy a quiet moment with the Children, listening to The Narrator’s story.
“Now where was I....?” Started The Narrator. “Oh yes, I remember now, I was going to tell you a Tale of Loyalty and Friendship stronger than any our precious world has ever seen. You see my Dear Children Of Alight, these four ladies here in front of you, have hearts made of pure gold. Their magic, which they share with all of us, is created by the power of Loyalty. These Lady Knights are some of my very best friends. I in fact, am a Lady Knight myself, with the special responsibility of passing along our stories and guarding hearts here at The Castle Alight. The other Four Lady Knights travel the kingdoms, helping the rest of the world far and wide. So listen closely now Children, there is much you can learn from this story.”
Athena and The Enchantress were used to enjoying a glorious view of the stars in the night sky. With the Castle Alight being located atop the Clouds, there was no lack of view regardless of the weather down below them.
One lovely summer evening, the sisters sat outside on the patio, sipping on cups of iced Enchanted Leaves, brewed just perfectly earlier in the day by the Mice who ran the royal kitchen.
They sat quietly side by side, enjoying the sound of the crickets in the peaceful, warm evening air.
Outside of the gate, pixies fluttered by, ringing their chimes and granting wishes and good fortune for the people of kingdom.
As she gazed up at the evening sky, The Enchantress heard a flutter and as she turned to find what had made the noise, she spotted her dear friend The Mysterious Raven.
The beautiful Raven flapped her wings and gently landed on the arm of chair in which The Enchantress was seated.
“Good evening Raven Dear.” Said the Enchantress. “To what do we owe the pleasure of your visit this fine evening?”
“Enchantress, my friend!” The Raven said, rather out of breath. “I’ve come to warn you, of an unnerving development in the sky tonight!”
Startled a bit, The Enchantress responded; “ is something wrong in the kingdom?! What is going on?!”
“I have been told by the trolls who guard the star line, that there is a star out of place tonight. It seems that , the North Star, cannot be found!”
The Enchantress sat straight up in her seat in shock now. “The North Star cannot be found!? What on Earth do you mean Raven? The North Star is our guiding light in the sky. Why, we rely on it to guide us as we fly after the sun has set for the day!”
The Raven sat quietly for a moment, considering her words carefully before responding. She did not want to spook The Enchantress and her sister Athena, anymore than necessary. However, the situation was unnerving to her as well.
“My friend, it seems that The North Star, Polaris as you know her, is upset, as she feels that with modern advancements and GPS devices, perhaps she is no longer needed to guide our kingdom, or any of those in the world any longer. She has decided that she must relocate to a far away galaxy, where she is needed and admired more by the eyes of the creatures below.”
Athena, who had been quiet up until this point, decided that perhaps it was time for her to speak up now.
She looked to her sister and to the Raven and said, “ Dear sister, Friend Raven, I am sorry to say, I may have seen this coming a few weeks back. It was a lovely, albeit humid evening, not so unlike this one tonight, when I was sitting outside, just as we are now. I gazed at the evening sky and settled into the comfort of the sounds of the night outside, when suddenly I heard the sounds of sobbing. Well of course I felt that I must locate the direction of the mournful voice.
I walked the perimeter of the yard and as I passed the East Garden, I stumbled upon Polaris herself, crouched down beneath the rose bushes, shedding her tears of light as only a glorious star can do. I asked her what was wrong at the time, but she did not want to talk to me that night it seemed and flew away rather quickly, only saying to me, that she was no longer needed here. I’m sorry, I should have mentioned this before I guess, but I just thought she was having an off night, perhaps due to the humid air and that she would come around after some time to settle down. I had no idea that her situation was so serious.”
The Enchantress and The Raven sat quietly for a moment, considering what they had just heard.
Finally The Enchantress, broke the silence and began to speak. “Well My Dear sister, Friend Raven, it seems that we have an adventure to attend to and perhaps not much time to waste! We must locate our Sweet Northern guide Polaris and beg her to come back home and help guide the travelers of our galaxy. For as you and I know, no modern technology, could ever replace something so beautiful and pure as Polaris!”
Athena and The Mysterious Raven could not have agreed more. So without further hesitation, they put down their refreshing glasses of Enchanted leaves and went to gather their Pegasus‘, to set off and find their precious Northern Star.
Introducing to you, Alight Handwovens, “Polaris.”
Valhalla is not only about the Destination, but maybe even more so, about the Journey to get there. The Enchantress and her sisters knew this quite well and so they strived to live their lives accordingly. Bringing happiness to the people of the world was of the utmost importance to them. So when The Steampunk Princess suggested a special project, Athena and The Enchantress were thrilled to accept the challenge! Care to join us on their adventure....?
Arcadia had been very quiet for some time now. No one in the Rainbow castle could remember the last time that they had heard from the great god Pan; half man, half goat. Or when Hermès had last played tricks on any of them. Athena was honestly quite relieved by the quiet that they had been enjoying, but The Enchantress was concerned. Perhaps something was wrong in the land of Utopia? She insisted to her sister, that they must go to pay the world of beauty a visit, to be sure that all was as it should be.
Athena and The Enchantress arrived outside of the row of magical trees, which they knew lined the entrance to the mythical village. They dismounted their Pegasus’ and left them with the mice, to attend to them while they continued their journey on foot.
Athena pulled aside the branches that blocked their path, and they breeched the row of trees, their gaze settled on the glowing waterfalls in the distance and the music of the nymphs instantly caught their attention. The sound of laughter from the village drifted over to her ears and The Enchantress was instantly at ease, as she knew that all was well here.
The Enchantress & Lady Kalleigh
Too many years ago to count Lady Kalleigh was preparing her booth at the ocean Fair for the upcoming festival. She was to display her finest Fabrics, woven from the underwater silks and fibers with which she loved to create. The sea turtles stood by in anticipation as she was setting up! They always loved to see her beautiful, colorful wares.
Meanwhile, a traveling Princess was taking a trip with her sister to visit the depths of the ocean for the very first time. They were on vacation and it was a relief to be spending some time relaxing, not having to worry about anything except enjoying their journey.
The sisters followed the signs pointing them towards the great ocean, curious to see what it was that the underwater community may offer at their gathering! Golden turtle shells? Diamond covered sand dollars? What other unique creations may there be?!
As they descended into the water, the Pegasus’ they were riding, stopped short to let the sisters know, they would travel no further into the water. Pegasus afterall, did not like to swim!
The sisters continued their journey on foot. As they approached the very first booth, what should they see, but something that did not look foreign at all, but rather very familiar!! In front of them hovered a beautiful mermaid, with glowing rainbow scales on her tail. In front of the mermaid Princess, laid out in a fabulous display, were Handwoven fabrics, just as colorful and unique as the mermaids own tail!
The mermaid turned to greet them, and introduced herself. “Hello, My name is Princess Kalleigh! And you are?”
I have received word of a very special hatching from, The Dragon Whisperer.” Alight Mascots have hatched and we are so very happy to welcome them home as part of our team.
Please read the letter which I have just opened and do pay close attention won’t you....? I think that more excitement is yet to come!
A cave is Alight in the rays of the sun. Inside can be seen the dragon nest. A mother dragon tends to her newly hatched baby. Alas, an egg still sits, waiting to be hatched.
-The Dragon Whisperer
Athena and The Enchantress had so enjoyed reliving their youth during their visit to Never Never Land. Captain Hook wasn’t nearly as mean as they had imagined him to be from the stories and Peter and Tinkerbelle were just as much fun as ever. The sisters bid farewell to their friends and set back off on their Pegasus’ to head back home to the Rainbow Castle in the Clouds.
The Enchantress led the way, as their flew past the moon and many, many stars. She couldn’t stop thinking about what a wonderful time they had, had at the birthday party! She dreamed of the next time they may be invited to go back to the magical land of Children.
As they approached what she thought was their next turn, The a Enchantress suddenly realized, that she had not been paying attention and that this star perhaps didn’t look so familiar. She slowed her Dear Pegasus for a moment and called back to Her sister, “Athena, is this our turn to head home? The second star? Do we go left here?
Athena slowed down as she approached her sister and said, her voice just as unsure as The Enchantress’, “I don’t believe that it is actually.”
The two stopped entirely and began to look around them. They were not sure where they were now, or exactly how they had ended up here. Athena said, “we’ll perhaps we should send message by stork back to the castle that we are lost and they can send a guide to help us get back home.”
But no sooner had Athena opened her satchel to prepare to call the stork, The Enchantress exclaimed, “ Look there! Up ahead! What in the name of the moon and stars is that green glow?!”
Athena let the flap to her bag fall closed and looked to ahead to where her sister was pointing. Sure enough, she saw it too! It was a green light, glowing in the distance. It seemed to be a beacon of some sort, almost calling for them to come closer to it.
“Well, perhaps we should go and see what is creating such a glorious light, sister dear?!” Athena said with enthusiasm that The Enchantress knew there would be no talking her sister out of this exploration.
“Well, yes, I do suppose that we could go and see, just for a moment or two,” said The Enchantress. “Perhaps someone there will be able to offer us Guidance on the way back to the second star!”
So forward they went, their eyes on the light, their hands steady on the reins.
As they drew closer, the sisters realized, to their amazement, that the stunning green glow that they had seen from so far away, was not a beacon at all, but a beautiful and quite stately green palace, and around it, a village of smaller, but just as stately homes, all in various shades of greens and blues.
The sisters paused as they approached the gates to this fascinating city. The blues and greens were so bright and so fabulous, that although they were not in fact lit up with any sort of lights, they emitted a glow all their own!
The Enchantress knocked on the gate, more curious now than before, who, or what was behind it.
No sooner had her hand come down from knocking, the gates began to open and around one door, peered out the most adorable little troll the sisters had ever met. The little troll asked politely, “May I help you?”
Athena dismounted her Pegasus and said gently to the little creature, “Yes perhaps you can, my sister and I have taken a wrong turn on our way home. We are trying to find our way back towards the Second Star. May I ask, where is this, that we are now?”
The gentle little troll looked up, her eyes wide with innocence and kindness. She said just as politely as before, “Oh yes of course, you don’t know? This is, The Emerald City. You have found The magical Land of Aus. Although many people call it, Oz. Please come in and I will find a map for you to make your way back home.”
The sisters thanked the kind little troll and followed her through the gate into the stunning, glowing city, into the Magical land of Aus.
One Sunny morning, Athena and The Enchantress were sitting at home in The Rainbow Castle Of Alight. They sat quietly, sipping On their brew of Magic Beans and Enchanted Oat Milk sweetened with just the smallest bit of bees honey.
Athena gazed out of the living room window, which looked upon the flowers down below. It was springtime at the Castle and the garden was filled with the most vibrant range of reds and pinks, purples and oranges and most every color in between.
It felt so good to be back at home and to have her sister back with her, safe and sound from her most recent trip to the cold, far side of the galaxy. She admired The Enchantress and her brave spirit, but sometimes she wished that her sister would be just a little bit less adventurous! Trying to keep up with her was so much fun, but so tiring!
A knock on the door, pulled both sisters out of their peaceful trance. The Enchantress rose to answer the door and see who it was. They were not expecting company that she could remember.
She reached forward and turned the shiny gold knob that adorned the solid Heavy door to the Castle and gently pulled it open. To her surprise, no one was there.
Quite confused, she looked around outside. Sure that she had heard a knock just a moment before, she called out, “Hello? Is anyone here? Did you knock?”
But there was no response. She shrugged her shoulders and began to close the Solid old door, when suddenly her gaze fell to her toes and the floor below. Low and behold there lay a note.
By this point, Athena had walked over to see who was there, interrupting their quiet morning back at home and stood beside her sister. “Enchantress Dear sister, who was at the door?” She asked.
The a Enchantress scooped up the note that lay before her and read the address listed on it before responding. It was addressed: “To Lady Athena and The Enchantress of The Castle Alight.” And was signed from, “A Future friend from The Sky.”
Puzzled, The Enchantress handed her sister the Envelope. Athena read the outside of the envelope and said, “Well who in The Milkyway could this be from?” “I was going to ask you the very same thing,” replied The Enchantress. “Let’s sit and open it, shall we?”
“I imagine that we should.” Replied Athena. “Afterall, it is from a Future friend of ours it would seem and it could be very important.”
The sisters took the beautiful envelope with them back to their settee near the Sunny window in the living room. The Enchantress sat down with the envelope resting in her lap.
The Envelope was a stark black color, as dark as the night sky on a day when it was cloudy and no stars shone through. The lettering on the front was done in the most beautiful Calligraphy style penmanship in a white ink that seemed to glow off of the outside of it. And was sealed with a beautiful flower shaped wax seal that looked so fancy, it could have belonged to royalty.
The Enchantress carefully undid the wax seal and opened the envelope to reveal the note inside. It read:
“Dear Lady Athena and The Enchantress,
We are writing to you as friends whom you have not had the pleasure of making acquaintance with yet.
We are Star dwellers. Two sisters living just outside of the Belt of Orion, beyond today and before tomorrow.
There has been an accident here in our world in the stars. One of our friends was trying to create a rainbow wall outside of our village because she thought that it would bring great joy to all of us who were blessed enough to call this place home. And while it was an amazing idea, it seems to have gone awry somewhere along the way and there was a great explosion of color and well, I am sad to say, the vacuum effect that it created was so powerful, it sucked all of the color right out of our world in the stars!
We are now living in a world void of any color outside of black and grey and white. And while these are all fine and well, we dearly miss the rainbow of colors which used to exist in our glorious Nebulas here floating through outer space.
We have been told by a very wise Moon Raven, that perhaps you can help us? The Raven said that you live in a beautiful Rainbow Castle made of Crystals which sits upon a cloud in the sky.
Please Dear sisters, will you help us to bring Color back into our world?
You may reach us by stork if you can find it in your hearts to assist us.
With Hope and Love,
The Nebula Sisters;
Nebula Nightfall &
Nebula Sun Rising

Deep in the darkness of the Eversong Woods, lays a winding, gilded path.
Where travelers may hesitate to follow, or face the scourge’s wrath.
This glowing trail leads just past the silvermoon city, and stops short of the North Sea.
Many may fear this unfamiliar scar on the land, but not Lady Sylvanas and neither should we.
Lady Sylvanas, Ranger of the Silvermoon City, now gone and taken on her very important new role, as Queen to the Undercity with her following elves in tow.
The high Elves sing their songs, they play their music through the night. This land is foreign to the sisters, but not so far from Alight.
As The Enchantress and Athena rode their Pegasus in search of their Dear North Star, they stumbled upon a village the sign there read, “Quel'Thalas.”
They slowed their forward progress and began to look around. It seemed the village was nearly gone now, perhaps burned to the ground?
The Pegasus snorted and stomped their hooves, This didn’t look like their sort of place. But The sisters urged them forward now, this journey they must face.
The sounds of cellos and various strings drew them onward. Who was playing these musical things?
The Eversong Woods held many secrets indeed. But tonight they would be lucky! If only their curiosity they did heed.
A sudden movement caught The Enchantress’s eye and suddenly a tug on her hand. In the midst of the Silvermoon city ruins, the high elves and their Dyrad band!
The Fairies were singing and ringing silver bells. The elves were dancing and strumming their stings while so enjoying themselves.
The ever glowing sunset cast by the mystical sunwell, shown onto this special group of creatures and lit the path as well.
The intimidating spires which overlooked the woods, no longer appeared so ghastly when stationed behind this group.
The purple trees were emitting such a deep and rich, jewel toned glow, that for a moment the sisters forgot which way they must go.
The splash of the opulent waterfalls, added their own words to the song. The sisters could not help but think, they too should sing along.
Hard as it was to pull themselves away, onward they must go, so following the path, they continued past the magical group away from the waterfalls splash.
On they went in their search for Polaris, their evening travel guide. Where oh where could that star be? Where does a Star go to hide?
As the sisters approached the Edge of the village, they began to see a brand new glow! This path seemed to lead to something bright! “Faster now,” they told their mounts to go!
They rounded the bend and crossed some water and suddenly it was crystal clear! Right in front of them was their sweet Polaris camouflaged by The Sunwell!
The Sunwell glowed bright with its power, it’s positive energy simply shone! But glowing just as bright as ever, was their Dear star who had run so far from home.
“Polaris!” The Enchantress exclaimed. “We have been looking all over for you! Please come back home to light the sky for us! There is so much more work for you to do!”
“Who me?” The Northern star replied. Seeming almost in shock. “I thought for sure with modern advancements, I was no longer needed in my spot.”
“No compass is as true as you my friend, no light will ever shine as bright!
You are needed just as much as ever now, please come back home to shine on Alight!?”
Polaris shone even brighter now, feeling so relieved. She was needed back in the sky! She had more travelers to lead!
“On my way!” The beautiful Star cried. “I’m ready to go back home!”
The sisters smiled and sighed with relief, this world they need no longer roam.

As The Enchantress and Athena were preparing to go home, they spotted a striking stone Palace in the distance...
As the sisters got closer to the stone castle, they saw a wild lion. Aslan, he said his name was. He was far from being a tame lion, but nonetheless, the sisters knew that he was fair and just. All around them were kings and queens of old, draped in fine silk in deep purples and blues with glimmers of gold and silver catching the light as they blew in the gentle breeze. The Enchantress and Athena, nodded at the majestic Lion and continued their journey onward, through the magical land of Narnia, filled with talking animals, the likes of which they had never seen, even in their wildest dreams.
And as they walked on and on, The Enchantress and Athena realized that they were not alone.
They began to smell the sweet flowers in the air, they began to hear childhood songs which they had not heard since their youth.
And as they gazed down the path in the forest, there they were, just in front of them. Not only were the mice there singing the songs of joy and bliss that they remembered with such fondness, they were also cheering and clapping!
The Enchantress and Athena approached them, so astonished, they were not quite sure how to respond.
Gently Athena asked, “Dear Mice, why is it that you sing?”
“Lady Athena,” replied one, who looked to be the leader of the mischief. “We sing, to congratulate you on your great accomplishment!”
The sisters looked at each other in awe and admiration all at the same time. Word spread fast in this land indeed! The sisters had only just passed the great test of their fabrics the day before!
In humble respect Athena and The Enchantress Bowed to the crowd of mice who had gathered to welcome them home. “Thank you so very much Dear friends. We are forever grateful for your love and support.”
The Enchantress & Lady Kalleigh
Too many years ago to count, Lady Kalleigh was preparing her booth at the ocean Fair for the upcoming festival. She was to display her finest Fabrics, woven from the underwater silks and fibers with which she loved to create. The sea turtles stood by in anticipation as she was setting up. They always loved to see her beautiful, colorful wares.
Kalleigh had waited such a long time for this event. All of her hard work and preparation was paying off and she felt truly ready for her big day!
She doubled checked that all of her beautiful fabrics were laid out in rainbow order. The bright colors glowed against the sandy backdrop of the ocean floor.
Finally, it was go time! The entrance to the ocean fairgrounds was opened and visitors began to pour in, eager to see all of the beautiful things.
Kalleigh was ready, she thought and as her first guests approached her table, she turned to greet them graciously. “Hello, My name is Princess Kalleigh! And you are?” She said to the two beautiful princesses standing before her smiling.
Winter is Coming:
The night is covered in thick dew, anticipation lingers in the air. The future is unknown. The Night King and his beautiful, magical Ice Dragon have broken down The Wall and are on to Westeros.
The castle lay silent in anticipation. What will be coming next?
-The Mysterious Raven
“The moment you doubt whether you can fly, you cease forever to be able to do it. So come with me, where dreams are born, and time is never planned. Just think of happy things, and your heart will fly on wings, forever, in Never Never Land!”
The Enchantress and Athena had grown up with many of the same tales of magic and whimsy, adventures and mysteries that the rest of us did. One of their very favorite places to read about as children, was the ultimate dream for adults and children alike, Never Never land.
Never land was a magical land with a society all its own, made entirely of Children who never grew any older. What fun is it, to grow older and find yourself saddled with responsibilities and expenses anyway?
A great subject of Debate when they were little, was who would be the leader on their journey to the magical world? Who would get to be the first to see the Grand pirate ship, or be the first to hear the, “tick tock,” of the watch coming from the croc’s belly upon their arrival, would they be able to go for a swim in the mermaid Lagoon?
Many years had gone by now since the sisters had thought about Neverland and the stories of Peter and Wendy.
They remembered vividly and with great fondness, their first visit to Never Never Land as children.
The kind, but stubborn, little fairy, Tinkerbelle, had grown to be a Dear friend of theirs over the years since then. They had each saved a bit of pixie dust with which to wish on each of their own birthdays for many years afterwards.
It had been quite some time since the sisters had seen their dear friends, the children and fairies. So you may imagine their surprise, when they received a letter inviting them to come to a birthday party for All of Neverland. It was to be a party to celebrate one more years passing of childhood, for all of the precious souls who called it home!
Delighted, the sisters sent word back by stork, that they would absolutely love to join in the celebration! They went to work immediately preparing and planning, for their trip. How thrilled they were to have a chance relive a bit of their youth, in the land of make believe!
“Second star to the right and straight on ‘til morning. “ That is how you will find your way to Never Never Land my Dears!
I present to you, by Alight Handwovens, “Second Star To The Right.”
As The Enchantress and Kalleigh parted ways, They were both so happy to have seen the end result of their work together! The colors were bright and happy, shining with Hope and ever so reassuring that the best is always yet to come! The Enchantress set off for a very different type of destination altogether. She had spent such a wonderful few days with her Dear friend the mermaid. They had painted with Fabulous rainbow fish scales and had worn sunglasses half of the time, trying not to let the blinding glow get to their eyes. She was off to see the newly named King Raven and Sansa. Bran was the Raven and he was to be the new and noble leader of The Six Kingdoms. As The Enchantress headed towards Westeros, she couldn’t help but shiver a bit. A cold breeze seemed to have swept in. She pulled her shawl tighter around her shoulders and urged her Pegasus on, eager to get to her destination and out of the cold air. As she approached she spotted Bran right away. The Raven seemed more regal than ever before. As if it had somehow straightened his posture simply by bestowing the title to him. The Enchantress slowed her Pegasus and dismounted gracefully, giving her a pat on the head before gently requesting that she stay close by. From a distance Arya waved to her, summoning her over to join them. The Enchantress was surprised, but only for a moment, as she approached the group and without turning around to face her, Bran said, “Well hello Enchantress, so glad that you could join us.” She was always slightly taken aback by his oracle like gift, but of course she knew, that he would have known she was coming, perhaps even before she herself did! She was happy to be present to see Arya off on her adventures to the West. She admired the courage that it took these great adventurers to explore the unknown worlds where often it seemed they would have very few friends. The Enchantress settled in with her friends to join the send off. Giving hugs and sharing words of wisdom and encouragement. There had been so much turmoil and so much uncertainty for a long time now here with this group, it seemed as though things may finally be settling into what would be the new normal. From here she would head to Castle Black to bid farewell to Jon Snow as he headed to The North Country. A bittersweet trip this was for The Enchantress. Saying goodbye to friends and even Acquaintances was not her favorite thing to do. But was of course, part of her royal responsibilities in representing The Castle Alight and all the people of the magnificent rainbow castle in the clouds. She made sure to take some pictures with Bran to bring home to share with her Dear friend, The Mysterious Raven of Alight. While the Mysterious raven only had two eyes, she was every bit as wise and clever as her distant relative Bran without a doubt. As The ceremonies and farewells began to wrap up, The Enchantress found herself sighing with relief. She was happy to be ready to prepare for her journey back home. She knew that the warmth of the Rainbow Castle would be such a joy after having spent time here in the world of cold. Alight Handwovens, “Winter Is Coming.” -The Narrator
Athena was so happy to be back home at the Castle Alight. Her trip had been a long one and her legs were tired from so long in the saddle. She was looking forward to seeing her sweetheart, The Enforcer as well!
Athena decided that he was likely to be out doing his rounds of the garden right now, so rather than going right inside to get cleaned up and rest, she headed toward the garden instead to say hello and let him know that she was back home.
Athena lifted her hand to open the latch on the gate to the East garden, and had to stop short as suddenly the gate popped open right in front of her, nearly leaving her landing on her face!
She looked up to see standing before her, was The Enforcer himself. In his hands he was holding the most beautiful stones that she had ever seen! They were quite literally glowing in the evening light.
“What on earth are those?” She asked, mesmerized by the light coming from the beautiful stones.
“Well hello Dear! And welcome home!” Said The Enforcer with a grin. “These were going to be a surprise for you upon your return! But I suppose that time is now!”
Athena smiled brightly at the thoughtfulness of her Husband and took the stones from him. “Why Thank you Dear, you always do know how to brighten my day.” She said.
As The Enforcer and Athena turned together to leave the garden and head back towards the Castle Alight, They we’re distracted by a rustling in the bushes outside of the gate. The sound quieted, and thinking not much of it, they continued on back towards the Rainbow Palace.
Suddenly, out in front of them on the path, nearly bumping into them, flew two little pink Nymphs! They were so bright and so quick, that they left a trail of glowing pink dust behind them in the air as they flew by.
Athena turned her gaze to follow them off the trail, but they were so fast, that her eyes couldn’t keep up and before she knew it, they were back on the other side of the path again! It looked to Athena, as though the two little Nymphs were playing a game of tag. Back and forth they raced, one following the other.
Athena now too curious to resist any longer, called out to them, “Excuse me, kind Fairies...”. The Nymphs paid her no attention, but continued back and forth, back and forth across the path, scattering pink dust all about until one of them suddenly stopped short, finally realizing that they were not alone!
“Oh, well hello!” Said the little fairy, to Athena and The Enforcer. “Have you seen my key? It has a lovely pink flower attached to it. I seem to have dropped it somewhere along this path. My sister and I have been out here searching for it, with no luck!”
Athena looked around her on the ground, but not seeing anything resembling what she thought a Fairy key would look like, she replied gently, “No, I’m sorry, I’m afraid that I haven’t, but perhaps we can help you look for it?”
“Oh that would be lovely!” The little Nymph replied, in her tiny, high pitched little voice. “My wings are so tired now from flying, I surely will have to sleep outside tonight if I cannot find it soon. I have no more energy to keep searching and it will be dark quite very shortly!”
Athena and The Enforcer went to work right away with the little Fairies, searching the path and on the edge of the tree line, looking for a small key with a pink flower on it.
After a bit of searching, Athena called out to the group, “I think that I have found it!” She picked up the most beautiful little key and pink flower that she had ever seen. Athena had seen many flowers in her lifetime, Roses and Tulips and so many others, but this pink flower was so vibrant and so beautiful, she found herself spellbound by it.
The little fairy fluttered her weary wings over to Athena and said, “Oh thank you ever so much for your help in finding my key and special flower! Please take this satchel of special Fairy dust as my thank you for your help! I must stay no longer, as Twilight is already far too late for a Fairy to be out and about here. But I do so hope that we meet again!” And with that, the little Nymph and her sister were off and had disappeared into the darkness at the edge of the tree line.
Introducing, “Spellbound Twilight.” By Alight Handwovens.
Gather ‘round my children and you shall hear a tale of joy and merriment which I hold very dear.
Once upon a time in a far away land, there lived two sisters and their very best friend.
The sisters were talented. They spun flowers into gold. They wove magic into their fabric which once worn, let their stories unfold.
The Enchantress they called her, and enchanted was she. Her painting told stories, and let her spirit fly free.
She painted a Raven and away that Raven flew, over houses and mountains, to the beach and the ocean of blue.
It soared over the ocean and kept right on flying, dodging kites and balloons that children were flying.
The children laughed with such joy to see the Raven play. The Enchantress through her painting, had made the children’s day.
Tell us more, tell us more, the children cried as I paused. We want to hear what else she painted, what other tomfoolery she caused!
Well next she painted some boots, I said with a grin. Some boots made for walking, without any feet in them!
Boots walking without feet? Impossible they said! They sat staring wide eyed, as I nodded my head.
It’s true, i told them, and whats more than that! But those boots climbed up mountains, through bushes and thatch.
Those boots were enchanted by her magical painting. Why everything she touched with her color,
Sought out its own meaning.
The boots were looking for a pair of feet of their own. And my dear children, they found one! The feet at the base of a throne!
The feet of a fair princess who could no longer dance as she had lost her shoes. When the boots came upon her, they knew just what to do!
Right onto her feet they jumped and without even a thought, that princess leapt up and began to jump for joy, quite a lot.
So thankful was she for her new pair of shoes, she set to work right away there was no time to lose.
She walked those new boots right out of the door, down the street, through the garden to practice her dance once more.
Tell us more, tell us more, cried the children as I folded my hands in my lap, we must hear more stories, more please, there’s no turning back!
Very well, I said, this is the last one for today. The tale of Valkyeria, then you must go and play.
Oh we will, said the children, we promise for sure! And they sat down once more on the rug on the floor.
Valkyeria is a world of darkness and without very much light. The people who live there do not much but fight.
Not a very nice place and certainly not one filled with joy. The Enchantress didn’t like it there, not one little bit.
One day while she sat in her garden set to paint, an idea came to mind and suddenly she just couldn’t wait!
She started mixing her colors, setting her brushes and rags. She knew just what she must do, this would take all the magic she had.
She painted and mixed and finally stepped back to stare. The lack of color in Valkyeria was no longer there!
With her magic painting, she had pushed out the dark! No more fighting, no conflict, instead there sat a park.
A beautiful place, filled with happiness and laughter. She went to go join them and shortly thereafter, the people came to thank her. So relieved they were, they no longer lived in the darkness, All was right in the world.
In Honor of Rainbow Baby Day, we have a very special story to share with you, which has been in the works behind the scene for a while now.
